Jason Cull has a B.A. in Applied Arts and Sciences and Physical Education and is a certified personal trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine.
Jason began practicing yoga in 1997. After taking his first class, he left with a natural high that has inspired him ever since. He was later challenged with a back injury while working as an Ocean Lifeguard and recognized he had to take a new approach to his yoga practice that would be more healing and therapeutic as well as spiritual.
In 2005, Jason found a two-year program at U.C. San Diego, lead by Arturo Gálvez, which allowed him to experiment with various styles of yoga including Hatha, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga. Through his teacher training, participation in several workshops and personal practice, Jason has come to enjoy and focus more on a therapeutic-style of yoga blended with a Vinyasa flow.
Jason has also been trained to utilize The Yoga Wall and plans to incorporate its many therapeutic applications during some of his classes. His teaching style emphasizes detailed postural alignment, patience developing a solid foundation for your practice as well as various, yet subtle challenges when appropriate. Jason’s goal and intentions are to improve your personal yoga practice and ultimately your quality of life. He is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance at the 200 hour level.
